Yup, the connection results change each time I try them. Even the BBC My
App will connect occasionally now. The only constantly reliable radio is
the World Service. The least reliable seems to be Radio 7, but I've even
got this to play once now.

An interesting thing this has thrown up is that BBC Radio 3 is
delivered at 48k to SqueezeServer but at 192k to Windows Media Player.
If however I am already running Radio 3 on WMP and then start it on
SqueezeServer it is then received at 192k by SqueezeServer.

Foobar2000 gets Radio 3 it at 192k too.

I've re-read your explanation above and think that you must indeed be
right.

80% of the listening I do now is to BBC Radio. Perhaps I'd be better of
with a system that included an FM Tuner.

Think the third party Squeeze plugins and applets are important?
Then 'vote for bug 14194'
(http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=14194) so more can be
made.
