The NMRA have standards for 'O' gauge. You do not say whether you intend running the garden environment. If you are, forget finescale standards. If you are going to do 16mm or 7/8" scales on 32mm then it is worth considering the standards recommended for 16mm. Basically a GIMRA ordinary standard wheel profile and the current UK Gauge O Guild coarse track standard. The LBSC '0'standard is a model engineering standard NOT a model railway which AFAIK is not current.
