Mike, How did you measure that 3 degree taper? And....I said folks would get upset! Still, in over 46 years of live steaming, I never saw a track damaged by a cylindrical wheel tread. Amtrak and every Class 1 road in the US are buying locomotives with cylindrical treads, and they run the Acela trains at 150 miles per hour. Keith
