Hey Dave-

You may have better luck going higher in the OS stream- try something from
7.6 and above- they should work, but my guess is, say above 8.6, they'll
start to bog down. Look on the cheap sites (half.com, ebay) for used OS's-

The above is based on my experiences w/ my 5000/225, that now has a G3 card
in it w/ 9.1, going fine. That said, my knowledge on this is far from
complete- so good luck!
