Earlier, I asked > what it would take to make 7.5.3 happy on the StarMax 4000/200?
It turns out that adding System Enabler 826 does allow 7.5.3 to boot and run. However, the display resolution is stuck at VGA (640x480) and the Teac SCSI CD-ROM is not usable, though adding further drivers could probably fix these problems. The consensus seems to be that 8.6 (+ universal CDROM driver) is a sensible System for this machine. Many thanks to everyone who replied.
