You should be able to install the OS without booting from the CD. Boot as normal and start the installer. Towards the start of the process, there is a window with an 'Options' button. Clicking it brings up a second window with options to 'Update Disk Drivers' and 'Perform a clean install' Make sure the perform a clean install is selected, and the installer will create a new System folder, leaving the old one in place and renaming it to 'Previous System Folder' The only real issue with installing OS 9.x on the StarMax is that you have to either copy the CD-Rom driver from OS 7.6.1, hack the driver in OS 9, or use a 3rd party CD Driver. -- Mr. PopMan - [EMAIL PROTECTED] - "Does anybody want to play a game of pinball?"
