Hi,
The installer refuses point blank and says you cannot upgrade this
machine and quits without reason so I have to find some way to boot from
cd as I do not get to the stage to sleect complete install? I might try
an external cdrom drive I have.

I have a starmac restore cd which boots successfully but only has 7.6 on
it. It does not have FWB CDROM Toolkit so where on it do I find a 7.61
driver or how do I hack a 7.61 driver or where do I get a 3rd party
driver preferably free. Downloa dlinks would be appreciated.

If I modify my Macintosh 9.1 CD I assume somewhere in booting it must
load the cd-rom driver and fail. How or where do I put the replacement
driver on this cd so it will load. Does anyone know anything on how cd
booting works on a Macintosh? Is stuff loaded from a boot block or load
some how from the system folder?

PS All 8 machine have an awful Hitachi drive. And I thought clones where
supposed to be compatible???

Thanks
Chris
