I can recommend from personal experience NetGear's RT314 Gateway Router. I've a single dynamic IP address and DSL with a PPPoE connection, and the RT314's been rock-solid stable. The RT314 does NAT to provide individual IP's for the machines behind it.
Works great with my Windows boxen, Linux and Macs. If you have a Fry's Electronics nearby, you can get a refurbished RT314 for $60. -----Original Message----- From: StarMax List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of pasanders Sent: Thursday, May 30, 2002 4:37 PM To: StarMax List Subject: Network Question OK, I've decided to purchase a G3 on line to "compliment" my Starmax 5000/225. I want to Network both of these together so I will be able to access the internet from both computers. I'm using a cable modem with ethernet (from a provider called "knology"). Can anyone tell me what I need as far as hardware/software and cabling to accomplish this?
