I have always been pleased that I managed to figure out how to use a crossover Ethernet connection between my Starmax (4000MT,w/G3 upgrade, 160 MB RAM, OS9.1) and my wife's Powerbook G4ti400. Recently I even managed to add DSL and a wireless router so both computers share the internet. When my wife came in from school where they had issued a new ibook it just worked with the wireless setup, neat. My question is can I use the wireless network to connect the computers to each other as well as using the DSL internet connection? It would be nice to share files and backup up files. The ibook runs OSX, the Powerbook both OSX and OS9 and the Starmax can only use OS9. The router/switch is a SMC Barricade Turbo (2404WBR) if that matters. It does have four ports so if all this would work better over wire than wireless for the occasional sharing that can be done but seems like wireless is a great way to go.
