Sincere apologies for my oversight forgetting the ShiftKey in the combo!!

Evidently 'COMMAND - OPTION - SHIFT - DELETE' will boot you from the
chosen Startup Disk, to the next bootable media, with a bootable CD
having priority over other bootable HD's. At least for IDE HD's, on my SM.

Holding the 'C' key will always get me to a bootable CD, also.

I've got a Sonnet Tempo ATA/100 PCI card with two IDE HD's & that key
config will switch nicely between the two HD's with no bootable CD in the
CDROM. Otherwise, it will go for the CD. I've no bootable SCSI drives
installed & I kinda wonder which way priorities stack up, in that case.
Clues?

Also, when that key combo was introduced (early sys 7 somewhere?), I had
the impression that it merely bypassed the internal HD, irregardless of
what was chosen as Startup Disk & looked for the next bootable media. Or
I wonder, did I have it wrong all these years? It would seem a moot
point, but I've also got an old Color Classic II (modified CC), with a
mostly nonbootable external CDROM, running OS 7.6.1. Spoze I could hook
up a second SCSI HD to it & play. It might save me a little confusion, in
that future pinch.

Again, thanks for the correction,

Lou
