I was not suggesting that, as I pointed out.

I didn't detail how I could do that, so your comment is baseless. I know that putting
nigh on 650 Mb into Web space is probably impossible for most people, but with cable,
I could just host the file off my own machine, via my FTP server, and privately offer
the user/pass.

As for warez, I stand by my previously stated viewpoint - he is meant to have that CD
(as Jason pointed out, the StarMax-specific CD), and so a copy of it is perfectly
acceptable. A free copy of a Mac OS 9 CD is, of course, not acceptable. That is the
difference, to me - one might buy Mac OS 9 separately as an *OS* (and thus, no-one
else is entitled to a copy of that CD), but one does not *buy* the *StarMax CD* - the
computer is the item that is bought and sold, and the CD belongs as part of that
package.

As Jason also said - he bought himself a legal copy of Mac OS 9, but that was because
he was not entitled to Mac OS 9 - he had no copy on CD, and Mac OS 9 is not part of
the StarMax package. However, driver discs and CDs are part of the package, along with
the hardware.

Nor did I, actually. I was pointing it out just in case.

Something else to note - if the hard disc is HFS+, the original CD is probably
worthless anyhow, as it can't read its content, and won't do any good if you need to
boot off it. Though, I did make someone a little private web page recently using
graphics taken from System 7.6.1's Desktop Patterns system.

- Daniel.
