Hi,

after installing the latest version of STFax
I encountered two minor bugs (!?) in fax mode.

     - STFax sometimes crashes when selecting the
       'rotate/flip fax-display option'
(but who needs this feature anyway?)
     - there's a small bug when selecting the
zoom button (changing from full size display
of the fax to 50% size size switches to 25%
size - but that's no real problem)

BTW, faxing (sending and receiving), fax display
and fax printing work fine here (USR 56k Modem)
- thanks Simone.

Regarding the voice system I've a question.
Which audio file format should one use for
the voice messages?
I've tried AIFF, SVX, WAV (all from 11,025 Hz up
to 44,10 Hz, 8 and 16 bit, mono and stereo)
but all I get when playing the messages (Amiga Audio
or AHI system) is a noisy cracking 'something'.
The files are played well with every other software,
(SoundPlayers, Multiview,....) but STFax seems to
have serious problems.

Am I missing something?
Anybody having the same experience?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Regards

     NR

PS. One more: After saving the message from STFax and comparing
the amplifier output of the original file and the file
produced by STFax one can easily see that STFax mixes up
    something when processing the message.
So it might not only be a modem problem
