Hi. Glad to see people interested in learning to build
with stone.

I have quite a few suggestions, which I will forward
later this evening or tomorrow. I have a gret deal to
do this evening.

Meantime, I have the following immediate suggestions,
and I would appreciate it if you would let your contacts
know that you were referred by the President of the
Ontario Stone Quarriers Association:

1) INDIANA LIMSTONE INSTITUTE OF AMERICA, INC./ Stone
City Bank Bldg./ Suite 400/ Bedford, Indiana 47421;
/Phone: 812-275-4426; They have a fantastic, very
thorough handbook, but only deals with Indiana
Limestone. I don't know costs, etc; you may have to
join. if so, it would be well worth it. They don't deal
with marble or granite.

2) BUILDING STONE INSTITUTE - PO Box 507/ 24 Yerks Road
/ Purdys, New York, 10578 / Phone: 914-232-5725 / Fax:
914-232-5259 (also has excellent book on designing with
stone. They probably won't have much on marble or
granite; mostly limestone and sandstone. Technically
"stone" generally refers to sandstone, and limestone,
slate, bluestone, etc. (certain types of marble are
limestone).

3) MARBLE INSTITUTE OF AMERICA (MIA) - (mostly marble,
granite and onyx) - 30 Eden Alley / Suite 301 /
Columbus, Ohio 43215 / Phone: 614-228-6194 / Fax:
614-461-1497 / Website: http://www.marbleinstitute.com

I will forward much more stone-related info to you
shortly.
