I went for AMD purely because I know the bulk of Sun's x64 server range runs 
AMD 64 bit processors.  I'm sure Intel would work as well, but I knew Solaris 
has fairly limited driver support so wanted to be absolutely sure whatever I 
bought was on the HCL.
