I didn't even try it.I said  that the idea of having mysql installed just to read my 
mail it's repulsive. Same for
the requirements.

I do agree that whatever works though.
For me Nescape  Mail works(to bad you can't use it witout Netscape),kmail works now in 
KDE2 ,balsa is close,
mahogany seems to be coming along,heck even mailx is "fine"(ugh) for console only.
Still back to the point..what would you recommend to somebody like the original poster 
who asked what is a good_small mail
reader for X. ? maybe we should " Ask Slashdot " and enjoy the flames. :-)
