Ron,
Put the general and the overview on the list. But the details are:
1. So subject to change with each modification that the thread is not
of interest to many.
2. Some approaches are proprietary even if the originator intends to
eventually make something public domain.
3. There are some unscrupulous people who could lurk or simply look
into the archives and later cause problems.
4. This type of work does not need the "nay-sayers" putting in comments
that only waste time and hinder progress, such as comments about poor
people not being able to afford fans.
5. When something is sufficiently worthy of posting to all, THAT is the
time to do it.

Thanks for guidance.
The reason for not discussing on the list?

Ron,
On behalf of myself and two who are not subscribed to the Stoves
Listserv (Hugh McLaughlin and another Ron, last name Vanetten, who is
working with me in Normal Illinois), we each respond "Count me in."
Once you have your concept in an explainable form (words, diagrams,
etc), please consider sending it to those whom YOU select to be
included in the early stages of development. But this should not be
an open discussion on the Listserv. You have started to form the
group. Let's see who might be qualified to be in the inner circle.
Then Ron V. and I and others can also share our progress.
I hope that you might be surprised at how far some of us have
progressed in that direction, or what we can contribute to make your
initial mockup easier and better.

List:
I have a conceptual design for a different type of TLUD (squat,
extensive preheating of both types of air, balancing of their ratio,
and a pre-mixed flame). More costly than using one can above
another, but maybe less costly over long run, through increased
lifetime, efficiency and good turn down ratio. Might be able to
modify to enable natural draft. Lots of unknowns still.
I'd appreciate joining forces with anyone, but especially those
now working with fans and fan controllers.
Hoping for a mockup to take to Dean Still's summer camp.
Ron
