Again, I'll leave you two Democrats to sort that out, but my main point... is that I don't grind internal party grits in this forum because it's off-topic for those who aren't members.

Just for the record, the discussions in question have been completely on-topic for this list. If you have complaints about what topics are appropriate for the list, please forward them to the list manager (or if absolutely necessary deal with them in private). But, I would ask members of the list to refrain from publicly scolding other members for what they choose to put on the list. Either respond to the substance of the argument, or if your not interested, ignore it.

------------------------------------------------

Is there a way we could forward to you the email address of these people so you could tell them to stop it or temporarly remove them from the list,

Part of internet etiquette ought to include just a tiny bit a patience for some unintended or unexpected emails. In a world in which we are all deluged with unwanted SPAM from various corners, an occasional "I'm on vacation" message doesn't appear to be a significant problem. If others disagree, please let me know (privately).

In general, these messages only go to the individual who posted a message, which means that you only get one, when you post to the list. A small price to pay for the privilege of participating in a public forum like this one.

For the most part, these messages are filtered out of the actual forum (with very few exceptions). Again, if you have questions or comments on this topic - please contact me privately or post a message to the St. Paul Rules List.
