Interesting, GB. We must have all your alphabetic ends over here.
Skluzacek. Wzwrsniak. Trotsky.

Here's a note I sent our neighbor this morning (our poll was in the
basement of St. Whatshisname at Victoria & Armstrong, W2-P6).

"What a neighborhood scene at the polls this morning. I'm almost in tears
over the whole thing. We brought the girls down, discussing the new
Uruguayan "regime change" en route. Then we see Linda and Jack leaving as
we go in. She says "We need to talk, but later..." I thought, "F&ck!
We're simply cancelling their votes now!"

Inside, our line (A-O) had zero people while there were others lined up 15
deep for some reason. I signed my name, walked around the 15 N-Z's, and
there in another line I never stood in was Soy. He was all decked out in
his suit coat and a tie - I think it might have been his first vote. My
eyes get wet reliving it. I almost don't even care if he voted for Bush,
it was so moving!

So he's in that line to get something else, I guess, but we just walked up
to a guy, got a ballot, and voted "au naturel" at the table. The voting
machine judge stood perfectly behind the line, and the Children Vote lady
was amazing. Then, all of a sudden, there was Senna voting with her! And
Jim, and Lyndelle. It was all abuzz, everywhere. On the way up the stairs
and out the church (go figure) door, a lady who was at the W7/FRF Annual
Meeting and actually ran for the Board was getting her ass chewed by her
dickhead man for some stupid thing like her not being where he expected her
to be.

It was quite a trip. I guess you had to be there, but I hope you get the
picture. What was the question? ;-) Have fun in your judge role. Yer a
good Marekin!

I wonder what Howard Dean is doing right now.

I think President Kerry should appoint W to be ambassador to Sudan.

Arrived at St. Matt's (West Side - precinct 2-13) at 7:30 and finished
voting 23 minutes later (voter #126). Everyone went through two lines, one

to sign in and get your ballot and one to vote. When I left, there were no

more people lined up to sign in, but a couple new voters coming through the

door.

Amazingly, there are about twice as many people with a last name from A-L
as
from M-Z (they also divided us into two lines to sign in).
