just a couple of points.
i use ayd mill nearly every day. i live in minneapolis and work in st paul. I
can't see where keeping it will tear apart a neighborhood as I-94 did can
happen. was there ever a neighborhood there? i am guessing the train tracks
were there many years ago. it is actually a pleasant drive. I think it is
fine the way it is but possible some improvement to the north end connection
would be helpful. there also looks to be plenty of room for a trolly line and
a bike path too. can't those and a road exits in the same area?
For me, the alternative to ayd mill is going up snelling. if, and I am not a
real estate expert, but if keeping ayd mill will reduce housing values near it,
and to be honest, there aren't many that are really near it, wouldn't closing
it then reduce the housing value of those on snelling, lexington, fairview,
cleveland and any other major north-south street? on those streets the houses
are right there.
as for if I-94 is a benefit over no I-94, wouldn't more I-94 be a benefit over
the current I-94. i'd invoke the law of diminishing returns. I see I-94 as
benefitting the area. i don't see doubling the size as providing double the
benefit.
What does highway 52 have to do with stolen cars?
