Dave,
Thanks for the timely response. The Highland Villager reports that you
and Councilmember Harris want to study the feasibilty of have a direct
connection of the two-lane parkway to I-94 on the north end. Is that true?
Mayor Kelly made it quite clear at the public hearing on Thursday night
that he feels a two-lane parkway is not a viable option. Primarily because
there would be no interest at the federal level in fuding such a road.
The mayor's proposal has a price tag of $44 million, $30 million of which
he hopes to have funded by federal and state money.
How much would your two-lane parkway alternative cost and where would the
funding come from?
Would your proposal include the replacement of the Hamline Avenue bridge?
Thanks,
Dennis
