Some will look upon a roomful of diamonds looking for that one lump of coal. Others will dig with gusto for a pony in a roomful of manure.
Which one are you? The election wasn't really a landslide, but it was a convincing statement that America isn't a racist country. I don't think our European or Asian friends can say that as convincingly as America just did. I never see a brother, or even a different ethnicity, speaking for them. And what about Americans that are still racist? I think it's best to ignore them. Glorify the colorblind society. Have you ever trained a hunting dog? Know anyone that does? Do you know what method works best? The one where you take an old dog along that is properly trained. Praise the old one whenever he does something right. The young dog wants a piece of that action and will soon start mimicking the old guy. Result -- two good hunting dogs. America's remaining racists will eventually get their due. That includes those that opposed Obama or supported him solely because he's black.
