That is certainly true of the current two parties that dominate politics. But hey, it takes time to change a party, which is what the Tea Party members are trying to do to the Republican Party. Regarding a platform, there is this "Contract from America" developed by a consortium of Tea Party members: <http://www.thecontract.org/the-contract-from-america/> Much better than the Republican's lame "Pledge to America" in my view. Note the key difference between the two documents. The latter lacks specifics and says "this is kinda sorta what's on our menu today." The latter says "we'll vote for those that will do these things."
