By terminators I was referring to those 2mm grey things with two holes used on that four pin doo-hicky by the drive connections, from what I remember they changed the drive configuration. Shoot, jumper is the word I wanted. Again, it has been several years, but one of the drives was pinned out, and would not spin up until the jumper was removed. This may answer Wil's question, one pinned, one not. Possibly they were RAID, I honestly don't remember, do remember they had to be configured this way to work in the G5, installed them both. Both Barracuda 7200s, 160Gb and 200Gb. No chuKA noises, just a smooth warm up to a nice hum. This is the adapter I have, which lights up sowing all connections are good. I think.
http://eshop.macsales.com/item/NewerTech/U3NVSPATA/ Thanks guys, there is an iMovie project on one of these that I would really like to salvage.
