Thinking back, I am fairly certain they were not RAID, yes, they showed up
separately. Sys Info on the USB attached, shows only my mouse dongle.
Unfortunately, I have no other drives to test with, just the two, but they
both do the same good spin-up sound you would expect.
If it matters, the adapter will not spin up the drives until plugged into
the USB port.  If I launch DiskWarrior with the drives spinning, it freezes
on "searching for disks".
The instruction manual says wait 30 seconds and the drive will show up as a
USB device,  I gave it a good fifteen minutes, a restart...
