I like money and profit too, a lot even; profit is good. But the less $ I give to a vendor, the more for me. The more money I save a client by developing quick and saving them operating costs, the more the like me and more $ they give me (or a raise if the organization is profitable and growing, not cut backs to outsourcing)
Our War Money Chest is bigger than all of you all the Java guys (including the Open Source).
This does not mean that MS is bigger, MS % of market is getting smaller:

I would also guess that there are more Linux + Java open source developers than MS pays for.

What do you think?
I think that the open source development produces a better product: http://www.consultingtimes.com/ossdev.html http://www.opensource.org/advocacy/case_for_business.php
The above hints to me why same people can develop good sofware in open and bad sofware in closed.
(Of course, it is possible to do C# open source, but that does not suit my argument right now)
