Oh my. Google continues to impress. So for those who love this stuff.
Because we were out of compliance with a number of play store rules, the open beta track was "paused". I submitted the missing declarations over the weekend (since the packages couldn't comply, I hadn't bothered keeping up with all of those). I submitted a request to restart the track. I submitted a new package, which was accepted. However, it turns out that the request to restart the track apparently was silently ignored. It no longer shows up on the console as paused, but it also clearly didn't get restarted. Today I submitted a new package and in the confirmation for THAT submission I see "Items changed: - new AAB 55680 - Track status: Resume Track" So maybe that first attempt to restart the track failed because at that point I still didn't have an approved package submitted? And then when I submitted a second one this magically happens? I guess we'll find out when this submission finishes review. And just like Apple, the turnaround for those reviews is entirely non-deterministic. Sometimes it's minutes, sometimes days. Usually it's "several hours".
