Hi Bob and other PDF fans

You're idea for downloading and saving the PDF to Adobe before viewing does
work much better than downloading and viewing through a browser. I just
tried it and someone else suggested the same solution.

But there are a lot of computer semi-illiterates,beginners out there who:
1. don't know how to download things.
2. don't want to download and save something they can't view first.
3. are scared to download anything for fear of viruses.
4. can't view a PDF anyway because they don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader and
won't install it.
5. will avoid the whole process because it's a hassle and takes more time
and effort.

Even if I give them instructions on how to download many will not bother,
and I'll lose a potential customer.

The exact cause of the PDF download problem is real mystery Bob. There are
just so many variables involved, and everyone who writes me has a different
system and different results. One thing is certain: Half of those who try to
download have problems- good and bad systems, makes no difference.

I know for certain that my PDF files are fine and not corrupted. They
download beautifully with any Adobe Acrobat version if I email them to
somebody as attachments. There are only problems when downloading from the
browser. And it not just my PDFs. Roger Bailey says that he's had similar
download problems with PDFs on Government websites.
