I hope that you are well. The understanding is that the V20z and the V40z will be phased out for the Galaxy lines, so it makes no sense in buying those machines. The launch of that line is still up in the air, unfortunately we can't wait for that. Hence Dell had to be our choice.

USB support with Linux is due to arrive with SRSS 3.1 I believe. It will match what you can currently do with Solaris. You are currently able to print to usb printers with SRSS 3.0 and Linux if you configure CUPS.

I guess that printing here is done via CUPS to a networked Lexmark printer which works fairly well. I thinks that the inability for the external USB HD was a rather sticky point with our director. I am glad to hear that there will be support for this in 3.1.

We have a couple of Windows servers in our datacenter, which we can use rdesktop (with ts_client for those folk who like some form of gui) to access them over an SSH tunnel.
