It's almost pointless to complain here. Complain on the beta
feedback aliases. That's what they're for.
I've tried to explain how broken this is, I think Craig's tried, I
know others have tried. The project team that created this
feature, and Marketing, think that the feature is just fine as
it stands. Product Management thinks that if it's as broken
as we claim it is then the customers who don't like it will
complain during beta, and if there are no complaints then
there's no problem.
So if you don't like it, complain. But do it in a forum where
the project team and Marketing and Product Management
and development engineering will see the complaints. If
you're in the formal beta then complain on the formal beta
feedback alias, if you're using the informal beta then
complain on the informal beta feedback alias. (Complain
here too by all means, but it won't carry anything like the
same weight.)
