I think /etc/opt/SUNWut/gdm/SunRayInit/helpers/Xsetup
is responsible for writing the /tmp/SUNWut/session_proc/* files.
Do you have a line

DisplayInitDir=/etc/opt/SUNWut/gdm/SunRayInit

in your /etc/gdm/gdm.conf ?
