Sorry, the engineering nerd in me forces me to reply... >> Does all the power consumed always get turned completely into heat? > Probably not immediately, but it is the worst case ..
Simple answer is YES. Consumed energy is always turned into heat even if not immediately. May initially come out as photons, sound waves or whatever, but in the end always gets transformed to heat one way or another. Physics says so. -- Peter Blatherwick Jason Winningham <[email protected]> Sent by: [email protected] 05/03/2009 11:10 Please respond to SunRay-Users mailing list To: SunRay-Users mailing list <[email protected]> cc: Subject: Re: [SunRay-Users] Sun Ray Heat On Mar 5, 2009, at 9:57 AM, Andy White wrote: > Hi Jason, > > I see you work in an Engineering College yeah, but I'm mostly a software guy. Probably not immediately, but it is the worst case scenario. that's how we plan for the heat loads in our labs and server room. -Jason ---------------------------------------- Jason Winningham Computer Systems Engineer College of Engineering The University of Alabama in Huntsville http://support.eng.uah.edu/ http://www.eng.uah.edu/~jdw _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
