Hi Jason,
I see you work in an Engineering College - so I'll tread carefully!!
Does all the power consumed always get turned completely into heat? I
understand then when things spin (hard drives, fans) etc we are
converting to kinetic and noise but in a Sun Ray is it all heat?
Andy
P.S. I suggest we vote on renaming ourselves "SunRay (and physical
sciences) User Group"

Hi All,
I have been looking to try and find the heat dissipated for Sun Ray
2, 2FS & 270 but can't find them anywhere. Does any one have them?
the specs found here
http://sunsolve.sun.com/handbook_pub/validateUser.do?target=Systems/SunRay2/spec
say:
Sun Ray 2 with mouse, keyboard, UUT Connected to server, adapter input
AC110V
Idle: 4.9W
Video Test Pattern:5.5W
convert Watts to BTU/hr. 5.5W = 18.8BTU/hr
your display is probably going to use more power than the sunray.
