(not that this experience is mine, but it came to mine
any way)
Several friends and myself went and saw Front 242 in
concert in San Fransisco. A week or so later one of
the friends who went was in an airport in Chicago and
saw Richard 23 walking around. It just so happens
that my friend was wearing the concert T-SHIRT and was
clever enough to get a snap shot with him.
I do not think if I had been in the situation I would
have said anything at all, if I had even recognized
him.
The closest run in to a 'celebrity' (hate the word for
sure) I've had was I saw Jean Claude Van Damme in a
Wal Mart. My friend totally flipped out and was
crawling on the floor beneath the clothing racks
following him. I just felt bad for him and for her.
If was to meet someone who created something I
enjoyed, I think the only thing I'd want to say is
"Thank you" (and perhaps "Can I live in your
studio???")
