Actually DivX;-) has nothing to do with that format even though the name
sounds similar. Check out the faq about that. This codec is hacked from
some Microsoft format.
There is another codec for avi that's pretty common on Windows. It's called
i263, and the only way to play it on Mac O/S is with Windows emulation.
