Go here for a divx player. It works with almost all avi formats. If the
avi file that you are wanting to view is a download, you will want to set
all of your browsers helpers to use this player and file type to VFW. Other
wise you want be able to view the file.
You use the program to process the file for viewing in QuickTime or in the
player.
I believe it is a free download.
