Yes indeed.
Luckily I intuitively started doing that with the external Firewire EZQuest
harddrive.
Just to see what would happen, I yanked it off without trashing and locked up
the S900. No data loss, though.
I also got into the habit of turning off the DCS cameras while switching PCMCIA
cards.
(I'm trying to remember if the Powerbooks popped out the cards when dragged to
the trash.)
