Not a good feature in my opinion.  That means you have to use the camera
to erase the card.  OK if you have a couple of spare cards handy.  Not
so OK on a busy photo shoot.

I don't know about your machine, but behind mine it is not pretty. 
Getting to ports to plug and unplug stuff is a pain.

Both smart media and compact flash are showing up as storage devices in
a variety of consumerables.
