I've been curious about daisy chaining firewire devices.
My EZQuest drive has two firewire ports.
Let's say....the EZQuest stays plugged in the back of the computer and the
drive is
sitting on the desk fairly close to the monitor/keyboard.
Could a firewire device be plugged into the EZQuest and be accessed even if
the EZQuest
is not powered up ?
I doubt it but thought I would ask.
And I guess there is also the powered hub option.

Alan,
The answer is yes, you can daisy chain FW devices, same as SCSI, even though
the intermediate device is not powered.
I can't think of a good reason to get a powered FW hub. Unlike USB devices,
most FW devices have two ports, again, same as SCSI.
