Dennis,
We have a C600 with the Sonnet Crescendo L2 G3 upgrade and the Sonnet
Tango Firewire/USB card installed. We have not experienced any
stuttering problems. Our USB extensions are active, as we currently
have both a film scanner and a compact flash/smart media card reader
attached to the C600. I have also used the firewire side of the card to
attach an external firewire drive.
Could the problem be caused by something else?
Our c600 set up is as follows:
Sonnet Crescendo L2 G3/400 processor upgrade
Original 4GB IDE drive
18 GB SCSI drive
144 MB RAM
Apple CD-ROM (replaced original)
Sonnet Tango combo USB/Firewire PCI card
Matrox Mystique graphics PCI Card
Global Village Modem PCI Card
Asante Ethernet PCI Card
I have worked with Neal, in Sonnet's Tech Support area on several
problems we had in the past. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable
and friendly. I do know, from exchanging email with Neal, that Sonnet
has either a C600 or a C500 (can't remember which one) in their lab,
that they use for testing purposes.
Let us know what you find out.
