MY C500 set up is as follows:
Sonnet Crescendo L2 G3/400 processor upgrade
       IBM Deskstar 20.5GB IDE drive
       Ouantum Fireball 3GB SCSI drive
       144 MB RAM
       Apple CD-ROM (replaced original)
Sonnet Tango combo USB/Firewire PCI card
       Asante Ethernet PCI Card
       La Cie CD-RW U&I
       Iomega Zip Drive

This is very similar to yours. The problem is NOT Sonnet's per se as
I read that 6400s that had other G3 upgrade cards were experiencing
similar problems; however just about all could be eliminated by
deactivating either the processor upgrade extension or the USB
extensions. Like you, there were others who weren't having the
problem. Do you have any sound sets active in the Appearance Control
panel? I wonder if that might be a factor. I'll have to play around
with it.
