I use the Acard ATA 66, which is the same as the Sonnet card (im pretty sure Sonnets is built by Acard). Both are OS X compatible, without drivers, Sonnet and Acard offer an AV patch (which slows down the HD) on their site for free. VSTs OS X driver costs $10. I had the card previously installed in a 7200/75 with audio stuttering problems (when playing sounds from HD), now it works in my S900 without any problems. I think its an issue with lower (<40mhz) bus speeds. The audio stuttering is ONLY a hard disc problem, CDs will work fine. I use a Lite-On CD-RW and a Maxtor 13GB with the Acard.
