Thanks Will but I have checked that option first to no avail. It seems
as if the control panel gets corrupted as it does not show all the
options that it should. Using a extra drive I reloaded the OS (8.6) and
still something damage the control panel ?? Pulled all the drives but
one known tested good unit, from a 2nd working C600 and yet when opened
the control panel it shows corrupted, yet when returned to the 2nd
working C600 all works just fine ? I am starting to think that maybe the
sound circuit on the motherboard has gone bad ?

Maybe one of our resident experts could shead some light as to how /
were the sound does its start up check or advise how to test ?
