The big reason why I was interested in this jumper was that (as best I can tell) I am unable to disable the motherboard cache from OSX. This option was available in OS9 and with it off I got a boost in data transfer and was able to get the card to near 350MHz. I know that the bus speed isn't the issue. My card is ancient, I paid $300 two years ago for the S900 W/ 64MB RAM and 4GB HD, with the G3 already in it. I don't complain much. It is more curiosity than anything. I want to see how far I can push the PowerLogix card. Kind of funny to see the looks on some people when they see this old S900 running OSX and the 225Mhz G3 running 300+ At any rate, it's faster than any Gateway pile out there.
