I have seen this before. on my 900 w/NewerTecG3 card. Does it happen when
you boot from CD? You might try running Norton or similar. If it persists
try one thing at a time like removing the IDE drive from the system if you
are using a scsi to boot on or remove it and boot from CD. You may have to
try to recover the disk. Replaced the battery lately? I found that simple
things like battery can cause maj havoc in disk tracking and allocation
tracking. Just a thought. I also found it a good practice to run utilities
after major changes like removing drive, adding memory etc. Just seems to
get a better and current account of things.

Subject: [SM] Is my Mac turning into a peecee?

Well, while the SCSI Probe thread has been fun, I have to deal with a few
more serious problems. Does anybody have any guesses as to why I am getting
this message immediately after the extensions load:

"This Disk is unreadable by this computer. Do you want to initialize it?
Dos 720k."
