However, I promptly ran into the old root device problem. In verbose mode, I got the following looping messages: "IOCDBlockStorageDriver: Unable to unlock removable media. Still waiting for root device." "Patched IOSCSICDDrive[IOBasicSCSI]: SCSI bus reset recovery complete. Still waiting for root device." Is it possible that I simply cannot install OSX from a Matshita CR-508? Any idea what kind of drive I have to replace it with?
