Hey P,

I believe the poster had the HD formatted w/ FWB and was unsure of his/her 
options. 
I gave all options: 
     reformat HD w/ HFS+
     dont reformat, upgrade over current System folder or upgrade w/ a new 
System folder  & save "Pevious System folder".
 
I DONT BELIEVE that you can update Apple's Hard Disk Driver if it was 
formatted by FWB or some other company...

Let me know if I'm wrong,...

BTW, How do you make a bootable floppy for/from OS 8.5? I'd love to try it.
