actually if you're just hell bent on spending money on soldering gear,
ebay usually has a really nice selection of metcal stuff, makes it
easier to solder than to draw a schematic!  i love mine to pieces, and
you can get a nice variety of tips on ebay, just the thing for soldering
surface mount without raising the pads off the board.
