I clean installed Jaguar on my S900 (XLR8 CarrierZif w/ G3/350), and it's nice to note that my ATIXClaimVR card worked for the install, as did my Pioneer 32x CDROM drive. I also am using Powerlogix CacheControlX set at 2:1.
So all went reasonably well, albeit with unusually long startup times, and the overall performance is lacking. But I know a G4 upgrade is the way to go for X. But, I have a corrupted graphic on the startup screen. The spinning wheel at the bottom center of the screen is an ugly black&white pixilated image. After the startup sequence ends, the screen flashes a bit, and the blue screen appears. Anyone else notice this same thing at startup? -Howie -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
