Well, I realized that I had a brand new PRAM battery in my LC 475 that I never use, so I popped that in, and now I can unplug my S900 when it's not running without the hassle of having to reset date and time and appletalk settings. A big thanks to everyone who gave me ideas on the noise. If I had enough money for a new power supply, or if this was an important machine where I would care if it stopped working, then I'd get a new one.
