Hi Howie,
Could you set the S900, your server to startup automatically into the 
program you want? Then you wouldn't need the monitor. I thought it was 
a no no to disconnect from a running non-G3 or lower hardware? Or do 
you have a work around to do that? If the program starts on auto you 
wouldn't need the keyboard or mouse. AFAIK auto start of a program was 
OS X's feature. Good luck.
